Mas del Jazz Orquestra

FESTIVALET JAZZ REUS 2025

The Mas del Jazz Orchestra is a group made up of young active musicians from the region, most of whom are students of the Advanced Degree in Modern Music and Jazz at the ESMuC, Liceu and Taller de Músics.

This project arises from the interest of a generation of young musicians and the Mas del Jazz Association to create a band of these characteristics outside the academic environment and in big band format in our territory.

The group has been exposed to the city of Reus since its first day thanks to the pedagogical sessions of open rehearsals directed by Iván Sáez in the Castell del Cambrer as part of the Reus Jazz Cava cycle.

The group is made up of Nacho Fernandez, Pau Giné, Yeuan Salvadó and Lluc Poblet on trumpets; Pere Sancho, Helena Escoda, Martí Pinyol and Guillem Romera on saxophones; Quim Llauradó, Bernat Lleixà, Marina Ribas and Jordi Brota on trombones; Miquel Rodriguez on piano; Santi Moore on guitar; Adrià Olshanetsky on bass, Joan de Domingo on drums; and Iván Sáez on direction. The intention is to consolidate the group in a stable way, developing concerts, recordings, collaborations with outstanding musicians, exchanges with big bands from other countries and making the group available to composers and arrangers linked to jazz.
